THE PURPOSE OF SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The Purpose of TDV International Theology Undergraduate Scholarship Program;
a) To contribute to the need for religious education for Muslim communities
abroad.
b) Enlighten their country and its surroundings, and provide education for
students with a clear understanding of Islamic religion and Islamic civilization.
c) To build cultural bridges between Türkiye and related societies.
d) To share experience in the field of Islamic education.

Candidate Profile Suggestions

APPLICATION AND REQUIREMENTS
Candidates who will apply for the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation International
Undergraduate Scholarship Program must meet the following conditions.
Applications of those who do not meet these conditions will be considered
invalid.
1. Not to be a citizen of the Republic of Türkiye.
2. Citizens of the Republic of Türkiye and those who have lost Turkish
citizenship for any reason will have their applications annulled.
3. To be born not earlier than 01.01.2002.
4. Not to have any mental or physical health problem and obstacle to
study in Türkiye.
5. To graduate from an educational institution equivalent to the high
school level in our country with at least a good grade (70%) or to be
able to graduate in July of the relevant year.
6. Not to have received a disciplinary penalty or been sentenced during
their education in their country.
7. Not taking a break from education for more than two years after high
school.
8. Not being removed from our Foundation’s scholarship while studying
at any educational level as a scholarship holder of our Foundation..
9. Candidates should not be studying in a program in Türkiye at the level
they will apply.

Scholarship Opportunity
Our foundation offers monthly scholarships to all scholarship students who
are accepted to the scholarship program, in addition to the subsistence, accommodation, and travel expenses.

Health
Annually, general health insurance premiums are covered by the Foundation to
enable students to benefit from all types of health care in Türkiye.

Tuition Fees
University annual tuition fees of students are covered by the Foundation.

Transportation Expenses
Return/round tickets of international student’s are met by our Foundation in
the beginning and end of academic year to their home countries.

Summer and Winter Camps
Free summer and winter camps are being organized to help our students dispose of their period fatigue as well as to reinforce Turkish, Arabic, and Holy
Quran lessons. These encampments are outside the city and include swimming, sports, scouting, and other activities.

Extra-Curricular Activities
Academic support programs are prepared and implemented in Turkish, Arabic,
and all scientific fields as supplementary and complementary courses for the
students’ faculty courses.

Documents Required for Students Admitted to
Diyanet Scholarships to Register in Educational
Institutions in Türkiye
1. Valid original high school diploma (certificate) or a certified
copy,
2. A transcript showing that he/she has completed the high
school level well, and if he/she is a senior, the original or a
certified copy of the previous year’s transcript,
3. Diploma equivalency certificate of students (in Turkish),
4. Original passport or a copy certified by official institutions,
5. Education valid visa
6. Health report obtained from an official health institution,
states that he/she does not have a disease that prevents
him/her from studying in Türkiye in terms of health,
7. 6 passport photographs (4.5 x6 cm in size),
8. Reference and Letter of Intent regarding his/her education in Türkiye,
9. If he/she has any Certificates
of academic, professional, language, skills etc.

MATTERS TO BE CONSIDERED IN APPLICATIONS
Read the application guide carefully. Complete your membership to the Diyanet
Scholarships Management System at http://dbys.tdv.org. Write your name and
surname as written on your passport or ID card. Do not use nicknames or titles.

Then follow these steps:
1. Upload your profile picture.
2. Complete Family Information.
3. Complete Contact Information.(Keeping
your contact details current and accurate is
important for ensuring scholarship results
are healthy¬
4. Complete Health Information.
5. Complete the Education Information.
6. Complete the Language Information.
7. Complete the Reference Information.
(If the above-mentioned information is incorrect or incomplete, your reference will be
invalid)
Once you have completed these steps, please apply for the appropriate scholarship
program on time.
Please check the “My Applications” menu to verify that your application has
been successfully received.
